Back From The Grave

Jumper: Zara
Jeans: Urban Outfitters
Shirt: Primark
Shoes: Vintage

I know I said I wasn't going to be back until I had finished all my deadlines but turns out that blogging is a great procrastination activity and I'm looking for those everywhere at the moment. I'm finally on the last stretch of work now. One more 3000 word essay, a 1000 word evaluation of my film and a redraft of the 4000 write up to go with the film. It's all seeming more manageable now but I'm still freaking out inside that university will be over forever in a month. I can't believe that it's so close to being the end, it went dangerously fast and I'd like to go back to first year and do it all over again please.
Once I've handed in all the work I've got plenty of look forward to with parties, film screenings, my birthday, volunteering at Sheffield Doc/Fest and a trip to New York in August. Being a graduation might not be so bad after all.

Seventeen

Dress: Vintage
Cardigan: H&M
Shoes: Ebay
Necklace: Gift

I kind of accidentally gave up blogging again but now it's half four in the morning and I've finally got round to posting these outfit photos from weeks ago. Life has gone ridiculously busy with the last push of uni work before graduation so I probably won't be back until May 17th when my university career ends and I will finally have my life back.
Until then, come keep me sane on twitter!

Holdon

Dress: Vintage
Jumper: Charity shop
Shoes: Ebay
When I saw these colours together in my wardrobe I knew I'd found an outfit. However, the shape of the jumper wasn't really flattering with the flare of the dress so I added a belt underneath to crop the jumper and voila! I'm focusing more on colours when putting my outfits together recently.
I've come to the realisation over the past few weeks that, despite the fact I'd been planning to move to London, I'd really like to stay in Leeds for another year after graduation. Leeds is such a great city, small enough to know your way around but big enough to not bump into the same people on every single night out. There's so many things left I haven't done in the city I've called home for the past three years and if I can find a job, I'd love to continue calling West Yorkshire my home for a while longer. Did any of you stay on in your university towns after graduation?

Inspiration For The Week

Even though I stopped blogging for a while, I never stopped reading blogs. It's part of my daily routine and I'm not really sure what I used to do without them. I've got a stockpile from when I stopped posting so there might be some out of date ones in here too.
I came home yesterday for a couple of weeks for Easter break. I'm not a massive fan of being home as there's nothing to do in my town but I'm close to London and have been reunited with my beautiful blue bike so I shouldn't complain too much.

This Must Be The Place

Top: Zara
Trousers: Dorothy Perkins
Shoes: Topshop
Tote: Fishs Eddy
Belt: ASOS
Necklace: Gift

So I'm back!
Sorry for disappearing off the place of the Earth, life got just a little bit hectic. I also managed to chop all my hair off half way through filming so that's why I'm now rocking the bob. I wanted to go short again for ages but after growing my hair for three years it seemed silly. After sleeping very little and going a little crazy during filming, I decided to just go for it. I love the way it turned out too.
This outfit sums up how I've been dressing while I've been gone from blogging, comfortable and slouchy. I can't get enough of trousers recently and the hair cut makes everything look a bit french too which can't be a bad thing.
So what have I missed?

Passeporte

Dress: H&M
Cardigan: Peacocks
Shoes: Charity shop

The biggest perk of living with two of your best friends, besides all the constant laughs and support whenever you need it, is being able to dive into each other's wardrobes. Laura and I swapped dresses on a few nights out and this one ended up weaselling its way into my wardrobe permanently. It's the perfect aztec print that I searched for for so long. Chances are if she hadn't brought it herself, I would have instead.
The spectrum of colours in it mean it's going to be pretty versatile for remixing so I don't know whether I'll ever be giving this dress back to generous Laura. Sorry!

Let's Stay Together

Top: ASOS
Shorts: Vintage
Boots: ASOS
Cardigan: H&M

I'm writing this the night before filming for my final year short film begins but by the time this posts we'll be a few days deep. It's so weird to think about how scheduled posts work.
Anyway, I wore this outfit in the run up to filming when every day consisted of running around trying to get everything organised without losing my sanity or dignity. I nearly cried when we were collecting equipment and my DOP joked that he hadn't reserved the camera for us, that's how high stress the whole situation has become. I'm such a control freak in most aspects of life so when it comes to filmmaking I tend to get extremely stressed out and anxious. Once I start filming, it all disappears but it's getting over the hurdle of the first day that's the toughest.
